A few days after Tae Kyun “Ares” Kim scored a scintillating victory over Burzhan “Bizon” Akishev in the main event of BRAVE CF 53 last August 21, one highly-touted featherweight standout courageously called out the unbeaten South Korean.
On Instagram, Akhmed Magomedov issued a challenge to Kim, who is believed to be in pole position to vie for the vacant BRAVE CF Featherweight World Championship.
“Well, after my last victory, my record in BRAVE CF is now [4-0]. If you look at the featherweight division, [I am] on top [and you will see me,” he wrote in his post. “Two undefeated fighters should decide who the best featherweight in the world is. Let’s make it happen for the vacant title.”
Magomedov competed on the same evening where Kim cruised to a unanimous decision win against Akishev, shining on the event’s supporting card by outpointing Kazakh stalwart Ilyar Askhanov. He is currently on an 8-fight win streak and has been with the promotion since BRAVE CF 12.
Meanwhile, Kim has a different opponent in mind as “Ares” recently invited Bogatov in a showdown for the available featherweight strap.
“I’m ready, Roman. How about next week?” Kim dared on the same social media platform.
