According to the highly scrutinized Abdelaziz, his client, Khabib Nurmagomedov will fight Georges St-Pierre next.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has claimed how former UFC middleweight and welterweight best Georges ‘Rush’ St-Pierre is next in line for his client, and not perennial contender Tony Ferguson or arch-rival Conor McGregor. Nurmagomedov successfully unified the 155-pound championships in his UFC 242 headliner with Dustin Poirier in Abu Dhabi last Saturday evening and teased a clash with Canada’s St-Pierre both before and after the event.

Speaking to TMZ recently, Dominance MMA Management head honcho Abdelaziz confirmed Khabib’s eagerness to secure a fight with St-Pierre and even went as far to claim that a clash with one of the sports greatest will take place next. When asked about the possibility of scheduling a fifth fight with Ferguson and what he thought about ‘El Cucuy’s view on the UFC 242 performance, Abdelaziz had this to say. “Nobody really cares what Tony says. Nobody gives a s**t really. As far as I know, GSP is next. This is what I want, Tony doesn’t get what he wants. We get what Khabib wants, and if Khabib calls me and says he wants Georges St-Pierre, Georges St-Pierre will be next. Georges is my friend for ten years, and I know Georges wants to fight Khabib. If you’re going to compare Tony Ferguson, he beat a whole bunch of guys, but he never been a champion. I’m talking about if Khabib is going to fight for legacy, a fight with Georges St-Pierre will be a huge fight. Dana White is a businessman, that’s why he’s the best promoter of all time. I think him and Georges St-Pierre make a lot of money and more headlines. People will care more. It’s a fight for who is the greatest of all time.

This interview comes after former Interim lightweight champion Ferguson, featured on ESPN’s popular Helwani Show with Ariel Helwani, where he outlined his hope to return to the Octagon  December’s UFC 245 in Las Vegas against Khabib. Ferguson, who has yet to be afforded a well deserved undisputed title shot in his eight-year stint with the promotion, most recently scored a second-round doctor’s stoppage over this weekend’s UFC Fight Night Vancouver headliner Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone.

Later in the interview, the highly controversial Abdelaziz flat out denied the possibility of Khabib facing fierce foe Conor McGregor again. Nurmagomedov scored the first defense of his undisputed lightweight championship against the former two-division gold holder, via a fourth-round neck crank victory in the pair’s bad blooded UFC 229 main event showing last October. “Conor is like a sour ex-girlfriend, she can’t get anybody else. This is what Conor is. He’s irrelevant, and you heard what Justin Gaethje said. He’s not a good person. The train has left him.

Abdelaziz mentions Justin Gaethje, another client of the Egyptian’s, recent Twitter tirade directed toward ‘The Notorious’ one; @Justin_Gaethje – “😂 you’re a tool. You have lost everything already. You are a s**t human, father and husband. F**k you.

Georges St-Pierre last competed at UFC 217 in his first outing in over four years, where he scored a late rear-naked choke triumph over then middleweight champion Michael Bisping, before suffering a bout of colitis, which forced him to vacate the undisputed championship and halted his Octagon career once again.
