Ashiek Ajim feeds off the energy of the crowd — and the hard-hitting New York bantamweight is going to eat at CES 62 on April 30 in Orlando, LIVE on UFC Fight Pass.
“I’m really excited to get back out there and put on a show for the fans,” Ajim says ahead of his fight with Florida’s Carlos Espinosa. “It was pretty strange not having a crowd at my last fight, so it’ll be great to get back out there with a packed house.”
Ajim is coming off his first career loss — a Fight-of-the-Year contender bout with Kris Moutinho at CES 61. Although Ajim doesn’t have a perfect record anymore, he took away a lot from his most recent bout.
“Experience is a really big deal, and I learned a lot in my last fight.”
That said, Ajim is excited to get back to his winning ways in Orlando.
“I’m training for a grueling, three-round fight,” he says, “but I’ll definitely take the quick KO.”
