Best Sales Practices for Your Fight Studio

Best Sales Practices for Your Fight Studio

Running an MMA studio can be one of the most rewarding things. One of the things that makes it rewarding is having all of the students come into a studio, wanting to learn and master the techniques that you are offering to teach them. However, in order to be able to continue teaching, you need to gain new students and retain the ones that have already come through your door. Consider the following suggestions for the best sales practices for your fight studio.

Consider Relocation

It might seem counterintuitive, but one way that you can generate sales for your studio is by relocating. When you first established your studio, the area that you established it in may have previously been the best possible place for you to do so, but that may have changed over time. If you find yourself looking at census records and you have already developed a sales plan for another part of the city, or have looked at moving already, those are signs that you should maybe reconsider your current location. There is nothing wrong with moving somewhere else, especially if it is in the same city or close by. That way, you can retain your current students and have access to potential new students who may have not previously considered coming to your fight studio.

Take a Look at Merchandise

If you are still generating income from lessons, but you are still finding that your studio is losing money, you can take a look at the revenue coming from your merchandise sales. New clients are excited to buy merchandise, as are their families, but if you have no new clients coming in, that might be one reason why your sales are floundering. Fortunately, there are a lot of things that you can do to try and change things around. One of the biggest things is to look at your current sales plan and see if there is anything that you can improve, either by eliminating something or changing some elements around. This is especially worth looking into if your plan has not changed for quite some time.

Look at Rebranding Your Studio

If you have been in business for a while, you may have noticed that your brand does not have the impact that it used to have, despite the fact that your studio is probably well-known. If you are experiencing brand stagnation, a rebrand may be just what you need. It would not hurt to try redesigning your logo, especially if it is a bit more complicated than those of your competitors. If you are established and known well enough in your community and online, the people who you do business with will be able to recognize your studio after you have rebranded.

Create a High Demand for Original Designs and Products

Everyone knows that something immediately increases in value once there is a guarantee that no more will be made, and that is the same in just about every industry. Where your fight studio is concerned, you can take merchandise that you used to sell all the time, but do not make anymore, and have a special fundraiser or silent auction every year. People will clamor to get the last of something that you previously sold, especially if it was a popular item and already difficult to come by. It might seem unlikely at first, but remember that people are very sentimental, especially when it comes to the things that they love. You might be surprised at how much people will want to grab your limited edition, original merchandise, especially your oldest clients.

There are a lot of things that you can do to make sure you have the best sales practices possible for your fight studio. Keep these suggestions in mind and remember that there are multiple ways that you can improve your sales practices at your fight studio, no matter how long you have been in business.
