Boxing Odds: Anthony Yarde vs Alex Tehran

Anthony Yarde will be fighting against Alex Theran this weekend in an attempt to rebuild his career. The 10-round bout will take place on Saturday, August 28 at 9 PM (GMT) at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham United Kingdom.

Yarde (20-2-0) may have fewer losses on his record than Theran (23-5-0), but Theran has more wins on his record and isn’t coming off a recent loss.

Yarde is currently #13 on WBC’S rankings for Light heavyweight, Yarde was previously the #1, until he lost against Lyndon Arthur in December 2020.

This will be Yarde’s first fight this year. Yarde could do with a win to prevent him slipping further down on WBC’s rankings. Yarde was scheduled to fight Emin Atra in April and July, but both fights were rescheduled due to both fighters suffering from injuries ahead of each match.
