KHK MMA’s Gamzat Magomedov, once again, used his top caliber wrestling to get another professional win. The victim this time was Latvia’s Matiss Zaharovs, who fought bravely, but ended up not being able to keep up with the pace imposed by Magomedov.
After being caught by surprise in the first two minutes, Magomedov quickly regained control by getting a takedown. On the ground, it was business as usual for Gamzat, who transitioned between submission attempts and ground and pound.
After the fight, Magomedov revealed he fought injured but celebrated the positive result, which improves his professional record to 5-1. “I honestly fought with almost just a single leg there, I suffered many small injuries during my training camp, it was really tough. But I wanted to fight, I wanted the win, and with the support of my team at KHK MMA and Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa I was able to pull it off”.
