The region has been something of a sleeping giant in BRAVE CF, and it is starting to see success as talented young athletes break through with impressive victories on the global stage.

MMA is set to get even bigger in Central Asia as in association with Octagon League, the Bahrain-based promotion will return to the magnificent Kazakh city of Almaty on August 21st to host BRAVE CF 53. The event is headlined by hometown hero Nurzhan “Bizon” Akishev facing South Korea’s Tae Kyun “Ares” Kim in a featherweight clash.

Three more homegrown talents will be donning the Kazakh bi-color of sky blue and bright yellow on the card, going up against top-class competition. Unbeaten phenom Vasiliy Takhtay takes on Brazil’s Roger Sampaio. Asu “Zulfikar” Almabaev squares off with Ukraine’s Aleksander Doskalchuk, while Azat “Kazakh” Maksum battles Brazilian hard-hitter Flavio “Flavinho” de Queiroz.

BRAVE CF has the largest market share in Asia, holding shows in Bahrain, United Arab Emirates,   Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Now the organization is capitalizing on what it has established since its founding in 2016 by creating an ecosystem, which will provide a platform for promising fighters to hone their craft.

With the abundance of talent yet to be scouted in Central Asia, BRAVE CF 53 may just be the appetizer to the smorgasbord of aspirants who are hungry to take over the MMA world.
