Brave News #43: Brave 11 recap; Brave 12 gets first fights for Indonesia
Brave News, the online show that keeps fans around the world updated on the biggest MMA organization in the Middle East, comes back this week with recaps from a historical fight night in Belo Horizonte, while also looking to the future. Brave News is also named FightBookMMA’s choice for Top Global MMA Promotion.
Brave 12 will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 11th, and Brave News recaps the fights already announced for the show.
But before that, the show talks about an amazing night of fights in Belo Horizonte, where Brave Combat Federation hosted its 11th event. In front of thousands of Brazilian fans, huge fights took place and new stars were born. Some of the local talents got big wins in front of their home crowd. Bruno Assis, Cleiton “Predador”, Luana Pinheiro, and Carlos Soares were all victorious. Apart from that, nine-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Bruno Malfacine improved his professional record to two wins in as many bouts with a first-round submission over Rafael “Mini-Man”.
But Brave 11 saved the best for the last bouts. In the co-main event of the evening, Light Heavyweight champion Klidson de Abreu submitted challenger Matt “The Riotmaker” Baker in the first round to defend his belt for the first time. In the main event, in of the most thrilling fights ever in the history of Brave Combat Federation, Luan “Miau” Santiago was winning the fight on the scorecards but dislocated his elbow with 6 seconds left on the clock. The late TKO made Lucas “Mineiro” Martins the interim Lightweight champion.
Moving to the other side of the world, and landing in Indonesia, Brave Combat Federation already has its next event on the line. Brave 12: KHK Legacy will take place at Balai Saribini, in Jakarta, on May 11th, featuring some of the brightest KHK MMA talents and some of the biggest international stars.
Brave 12 main event will feature a three-round Lightweight bout between Russia’s Eldar Eldarov and Dutch prospect Brian Hooi. In the co-main event of the evening, “The Jordanian Lion” Jarrah Al-Selawe gives up his earned title shot to stay active and faces one of the toughest challenges of his career, against French-Algerian powerhouse Tahar “Fast Hands” Hadbi. In addition, the veteran Mehdi “Sultan” Baghdad debuts at Brave CF against Poland’s Pawel Kielek.
