Brave Combat Federation has today announced further details for its fourteenth edition. Brave 14 will be hosted in Tangier, Morocco on 18 August 2018. The event will be held in the patronage of His Majesty Mohammed VI, the King of Morocco. The organization announced the latest development on the 49th edition of Brave News, its weekly online show. Brave Combat Federation is the first global mixed martial event to host a show in Africa.
Brave 14 will be the first fight card held after the historic debut in Europe. Brave 13 was held in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in a show that featured Bantamweight champion Stephen Loman’s first title defense, with the Filipino star beating Frans Mlambo by unanimous decision, after five hard-fought rounds.
In a prelude to entry into the African continent, the promotion had secured extensive broadcast coverage in Africa through the partnership with StarSat and Vodacom. The event will also establish a base for upcoming events by Brave Combat Federation in the continent of Africa.
Before the Morocco announcement, there were speculations that Brazil, Spain, South Africa or the Philippines could be Brave’s next destination. The promotion reiterates that events in these countries are very much on their radar.
