CES Boxing once again teams up with Murphys Boxing on Sept. 14 at the Twin River Event Center for New England’s most highly-anticipated fight of the year.
Undefeated Irish junior welterweight sensation and former two-time amateur gold medalist Ray Moylette makes his Rhode Island and Twin River debut against fan-favorite and current UBF All-America title-holder Nick Delomba in a throwback classic for junior welterweight supremacy.
The 28-year-old Islandeady native Moylette (11-0, 4 KOs), promoted by Ken Casey of Murphy’s Boxing, represented his country and captured gold in the 2008 World Youth Amateur Boxing Championships and three years later took home another gold at the European Amateur Boxing Championships before launching his pro career.
DeLomba (13-2, 3 KOs) is no stranger to the New England circuit. The 28-year-old Cranston native began his career with CES Boxing in 2013 in unorthodox fashion, starting out in a six-round fight rather than a four. Now he’s back under the guidance of promoter Jimmy Burchfield Sr. as he looks to build off his recent win in New Hampshire and continue in his quest for a shot at a world title.
Tickets for this epic junior welterweight battle are on sale now! Visit CESBoxing.com for more details and stay tuned for streaming information as we inch closer to fight now. #MoyletteDeLomba is just 38 days away!
And to brighten your Monday, we’re throwing in a bonus fight announcement for Sept. 14th. Providence’s own Anthony Marsella Jr. puts his unbeaten 9-0 record on the line in another all-New England showdown as he takes on Maine native Brandon Berry in a six-round junior welterweight battle.
Marsella Jr. recently survived his toughest test to date against the dangerous Ricardo Maldonado in May and now returns to face to “The Cannon,” who recently picked up his 13th career win last month in New Hampshire.
Tickets start at just $47. Details below.
Friday, Sept. 14th at 7 p.m. ET at the Twin River Casino call them at 401-724-2253/2254.
