Conor McGregor post vile racist tweet taking aim at Khabib Nurmagomedov

Conor McGregor has reignited his feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov through a series of inflammatory social media posts. In these messages, McGregor directed personal attacks at Nurmagomedov’s family and homeland, using offensive language and challenging the Dagestani fighter to a rematch. This outburst appears to be a response to Nurmagomedov’s recent comments comparing the Irish MMA scene unfavorably to that of Dagestan, particularly in the context of Usman Nurmagomedov’s upcoming Bellator lightweight title defense against Irish challenger Paul Hughes.
The rivalry between McGregor and Nurmagomedov has been contentious since their bout at UFC 229 in 2018, which Nurmagomedov won. Following that fight, tensions escalated into a post-fight brawl, leading to fines and suspensions for both fighters. Despite Nurmagomedov’s retirement from MMA in 2020, the animosity between the two has persisted, with McGregor frequently making provocative remarks aimed at goading Nurmagomedov into a rematch.
McGregor’s recent comments have drawn criticism for their personal nature, particularly targeting Nurmagomedov’s family and cultural background. This behavior has been a recurring theme in their rivalry, with previous instances where McGregor has made derogatory remarks about Nurmagomedov’s religion and family, leading to widespread condemnation within the MMA community.

As of now, Nurmagomedov has not publicly responded to McGregor’s latest tirade. Given Nurmagomedov’s retirement and focus on coaching and promoting MMA in Dagestan, it remains unlikely that he will be drawn back into active competition. McGregor, on the other hand, continues to be active on social media, using it as a platform to provoke his former rival and maintain public interest in a potential rematch.
