After defeating Welterweight contender Gilbert Burns at UFC 258, Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has become the talk of the MMA world after an incredible victory last Saturday night. “He just broke his record tonight,” White stated via MMA Junkie. “If you look at what he just did, he broke his record tonight for consecutive wins, and if this guy keeps rolling, if Usman can keep doing what he’s doing, he’s going to go down as the greatest welterweight ever” “Just look at who he’s fought and who he has to fight here in the future, it’s undeniable that this guy will go down as the best welterweight. The question is, where will he go down in the history of the sport?”
Usman is riding a high-level of momentum after his well-acclaimed victory\ against Burns at UFC 258. For UFC fans, it’ll only get more interesting, now that there’s speculation he may be headed towards a rematch with UFC breakout star Jorge Masvidal.
