Danny Roman Makes Weight: Defends WBA Crown Saturday on DAZN USA Streaming Service

ORANGE, Calif.– WBA super bantamweight champion Danny Roman (25-2-1, 9 KOs) weighed in at 121.6 lbs., while the challenging Gavin McDonnell (20-1-2, 5 KOs) weighed 121.8 lbs. during Friday’s weigh in. The pair square off this Saturday, Oct. 6, from Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

The 12-round world title clash will be available for viewing via DAZN USA, a live and on-demand streaming service that made its U.S. debut in September. To subscribe and activate your free, one-month trial, please click here ($9.99 per month after, cancel anytime).

Roman, 28, has been an active world champion since winning the title in a ninth round stoppage of Shun Kubo last September. His clash against England’s McDonnell will be his third since entering the world champion ranks last year.

“I want to fight the best,” said Roman, who makes his DAZN USA streaming debut on Saturday. “Gavin fits the mold of boxers I want to face. He’s highly ranked, talented, and hungry. I can’t wait to get in the ring and show the world what I’m about.”

Roman is promoted by Thompson Boxing and Matchroom Boxing.
