Las Vegas – UFC returns to UFC APEX in Las Vegas with a thrilling women’s featherweight championship bout that will see No. 1 ranked women’s pound-for-pound fighter Amanda Nunes defend her featherweight belt against top contender Felicia Spencer. In a blockbuster bantamweight bout, No. 5 ranked contender Raphael Assuncao battles former champion and No. 9 ranked Cody Garbrandt.

Amanda “Lioness” Nunes vs. Felicia “Feenom” Spencer: Amanda “Lioness” Nunes (19-4) fighting out of Coral Springs, Fla. by way of Bahia, Brazil is the current UFC double champion with 16 of her 19 wins by knockout or submission. She’s also the Female Fighter of the Year in 2016, 2018, and 2019. Felicia “Feenom” Spencer (8-1) fighting out of Orlando, Fla. by way of Montreal, Canada is the Former Invicta FC Featherweight champion, blackbelt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu and Taekwondo. Amanda Nunes is UFC’s first and only female double champion and this will be her first time defending the featherweight title since beating Cyborg for it at UFC 232. Nunes is on a 10-fight win streak and has defeated every former women’s bantamweight and featherweight champion. She is a 5x Performance of the Night Winner. Both of Spencer’s UFC wins were 1st round submissions. Her only loss was a decision to Cris Cyborg where she was highly credited for her toughness in the fight.

Raphael Assuncao vs. Cody “No Love” Garbrandt: Raphael Assuncao is the #5 ranked UFC bantamweight also a BJJ Black Belt with 10 wins by submission. Cody “No Love” Garbrandt is the former UFC champion and the #9 ranked UFC bantamweight and 2016 Breakout Fighter of the Year. Nine of Cody Garbrandt’s eleven wins have come by knockout. Both Cody and Assunao are looking to get back in the win column after suffering recent losses.
