LAS VEGAS– Jaime Munguia vs. Liam “Beefy” Smith was the main event on HBO Boxing After Dark on Saturday, July 21st in front of 2,470 fans at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas. This fight card was resented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Zanfer Promotions and Frank Warren.

Jaime Munguia (30-0, 25 KOs) defended his WBO Junior Middleweight World Championship against former world champion Liam “Beefy” Smith (26-2-1, 14 KOs) via 12-round decision. Munguia scored a knockdown with a counter left hook in the sixth round of a back-and-forth battle in which the native of Tijuana, Mexico eventually won with scores of 116-111, 119-110, and 119-108.

ALBERTO MACHADO BECERRIL: Machado suspended until 09/20/18, no contact until 09/05/18 – Left hand 3rddigit laceration.

RAPHAEL ABROMPAH MENSAH: Mensah must have right mandible fracture cleared by Maxillofacial surgeon or no contest until 01/18/2019-minimum suspension, no contest until 09/20/18, no contact until 09/20/18

ELIAS NATHANIEL GONZALEZ ESPADAS: Espadas suspended until 09/05/18, no contact until 08/21/18 – Right ankle injury if worsens must have x-ray to rule out fracture.

JESUS SEGUNDO MARTINEZ: Martinez suspended until 09/05/18, no contact until 08/21/18

EMMANUEL VALADEZ: Valadez suspended until 08/21/18, no contact until 08/14/18
