Report – Sean O’Malley vs. Raulian Paiva slated for UFC 269 on December 11th.

A bantamweight matchup between polarizing striking talent, ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley, and the #15 ranked contender, Raulian Paiva is currently targeted to land at UFC 269 on December 11. from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Undefeated in his last two, O’Malley is set for his third Octagon walk of the year, as he returns from a Fight of the Night matchup with promotional newcomer, Kris Moutinho — whom he scored a TKO victory over at UFC 264 in July. 

For Brazilian prospect, Paiva, he’s scored victories in his last three consecutive outings, the last of which came at UFC Vegas 32 in July, where he managed a majority decision victory over Kyler Philips. ESPN MMA reporter, Brett Okamoto was first to report the pairing.

Dana Whites’ Contender Series alum, O’Malley rebounded from his first professional loss back at UFC 252 in August of last year where he dropped a first round knockout loss to Marlon Vera, as he dismantled, Thomas Almeida at UFC 260 in March.

Dropping the Brazilian on multiple occasions throughout the three round affair, O’Malley eventually stopped the Muay Thai ace with a massive third round ground strike in a main card slot.

O’Malley holds a professional record of 14-1 — managing prior successes over the likes of former WEC bantamweight champion, Eddie Wineland, and Jose Alberto Quinonez.

21-3 as a professional with four knockout wins and three other submission wins, Amapa native, Paiva is also a product of Dana White’s Contender Series — and holds a 3-2 promotional record.

Before embarking on a three-fight winning run, Paiva dropped an Octagon debut loss to Kai Kara-France, before a first round doctor’s stoppage defeat to Rogerio Bontorin at UFC Fight Night Montevideo. 

Prior to July’s decision win over Philips, Paiva bested the duo of Zhalgas Zhumagulov, after a knockout victory over Mark De La Rosa.
