Valentina Shevchenko is currently targeted to make her Octagon return at UFC 275 on June 11. – in an attempt to secure the seventh successful defense of her undisputed flyweight throne, taking on the streaking #5 rated challenger, Brazilian finisher, Taila Santos.

According to an initial report from MMA Fighting reporters, Guilherme Cruz, and Damon Martin, an undisputed flyweight title fight between champion, Shevchenko, and challenger, Santos is currently targeted to take place at UFC 275 on June 11. An official location or venue for the pay-per-view has yet to be determined by the organization, however, a return to Singapore for the first time since an October 2019 UFC Fight Night Kallang event is currently being floated.

Shevchenko, 22-3 as a professional, has embarked on a stunning eight-fight winning spree in her flyweight domain since a move to the division back in February 2018.

Landing at 125lbs with a dominant knockout win over recent feature, Priscila Cachoeira, Shevchenko would then go on to win the vacant division title with a unanimous decision over former strawweight queen, Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

In six successive title knockbacks since, Shevchenko, a native of Kyrgyzstan, has defeated Jessica Eye, Liz Carmouche, Katlyn Chookagian, Jennifer Maia, Jessica Andrade, and in September most recently, stopped Lauren Murphy with fourth ground strikes at UFC 266 in a co-headlining slot.

For Santos, the Brazilian knockout artist has enjoyed an impressive 4-1 promotional record in the UFC since her February 2019 promotional debut.

Dropping her sole defeat in her Octagon bow against Mara Romero Borella courtesy of a split judging loss, Santos has since gone on to secure four straight wins over Molly McCann, Gillan Robertson, Roxanne Modafferi, and submitted Joanne Wood with just 11-seconds remaining in the opening round of their UFC Vegas 43 title-eliminator in November – wrapping up a first career rear-naked choke.
