Minsk, Belarus – Sam Patterson continued his path towards the top of the BRAVE CF Lightweight division with a dominant unanimous decision win over Ylies Djiroun at the BRAVE CF 51 co-main event of the evening. Despite the positive result, his third consecutive promotional victory, Patterson is convinced that his best is yet to come.
“As I spoke with my coach afterwards, he said that I should be proud of myself and enjoy the victory but I’m tough on myself and I know that wasn’t my best performance”, Patterson said in a post-fight interview in Minsk, Belarus. “Even when I got a first-round knockout against Felipe Silva I knew that I still had much more to show, let alone now”.
“I don’t mean to give excuses but I went through a lot over the last days and all of that, of course, built up to fight night”, he continued. “We’re living tough times in general but I personally had to overcome a lot of adversities in order to make it to the cage. So, in that sense, I’m happy that I got the win regardless”
“The Future”, as he’s also known as, knows that the competition in the deepest division in the BRAVE CF roster is fierce but made sure to leave a message to all 70kg watching him.
“I believe I can beat anyone in this division out there, I’m coming for that gold”, he finished.
With a professional record of 7 wins, a single loss, and one draw, Sam Patterson is quickly rising through the ranks of BRAVE Combat Federation. The British youngster is currently on a 7-fight undefeated streak, which includes six wins and one draw.
