Satoshi Ishii meets Stuart Austin for the inaugural EMC Heavyweight Title
Dusseldorf, Germany: It was announced today that Olympic Gold Medalist Satoshi Ishi (21-11-1) will face former BAMMA champion & Bellator veteran Stuart Austin (14-6) for the inaugural EMC heavyweight title in the main event of EMC 5 on September 5th.
EMC (Elite MMA Championship) is the brainchild of Ivan & Tomi Dijakovic, Croatian brothers who own the UFD Gym and help manage & coach such stars as KSW champions Roberto Soldic & Antun Racic, Thiago Silva, UFC’s David Zawada, PFL finalist Abus Magomedov, and many more international stars.
The fight card will also feature an important European welterweight contest between Germany’s Konrad Dyrschka (10-1) and Italian Bellator veteran Walter Pugliesi (7-2) and the return of Instagram star & KSW heavyweight Erko Jun (3-1) as he takes on Poland’s Damian Olszewski (2-3).
After four smaller, yet quality, events featuring a host of known European stars, EMC 5 will be the biggest event to date for the rising German-based promotion and a step in the right direction heading into 2021.
EMC 5 teases more UFC, PFL, and Cage Warriors veterans to be announced in the coming days.
