Vitor Miranda chooses Taura MMA for his farewell fight
Taura MMA is proud to announce Vitor Miranda’s farewell MMA fight. The Brazilian organization reached a deal with ‘Lex Luthor’, who will call it a career against an opponent to be announced.
A decorated kickboxer, Miranda was the runner-up in ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3’, aired in 2014. During the TV-show, he stirred emotions when revealed how hard was to overcoming the toughest adversity in his life: the death of his 4-year-old son, drowned in a swimming pool. Since then, Vitor uses this tragedy to motivate himself.
The 42-year-old has compiled a 12-7-1 record overall and a 3-4 record in UFC, in which he fought the likes of Antônio Carlos Júnior, Jake Collier and Marvin Vettori. Miranda hung up his gloves in 2018, but never lost his love for the sport. That’s why Vitor intends to immortalize his preparation for the fight on his YouTube channel, which has more than 370k subscribers.
“I will train a lot for this fight, and if everything goes well, it will be my best MMA fight. Stay tuned, follow me on my social networks and on my youtube channel, where I will record and document this entire process”, Miranda said. A date for his farewell fight will be set by Taura MMA soon.
Despite the economic crisis caused by Covid-19, Taura MMA will hold four events this year: October 23 – Canoas (Brazil); October 30 – Kissimmee (USA); November 21 – Atlantic City (USA); and December 6 – Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Taura MMA plans to hold 17 shows in 2021.
