UFC 245 Salaries and Medical Suspensions

The event took place on Saturday, Dec. 14 at T-Mobile Arena. The main card aired on pay-per-view while the prelims on ESPN2 and ESPN+

Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington each took home $500,000. Alexander Volkanovksi earned $250,0000 while Max Holloway took home a $350,000. Amanda Nunes earned $450,000 and de Randamie took home $100,000. Jose Aldo was the fourth highest-paid athlete on the card taking home $400,000.

The figures don’t include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. The figures don’t include money paid by sponsors, including the Reebok  Sponsorship Payout. They also don’t include any other “locker room” or special discretionary bonuses the UFC sometimes pays. They also don’t include pay-per-view cuts that some top-level fighters receive.

Seven fighters are facing lengthy medical suspensions. Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington are facing 180-day suspensions. Four other fighters could see 180-day ssuspensions which include Petr Yan, Mike Perry, Geoff Neal, and Viviane Araujo.

Viviane Araujo: Suspended 180 days or until x-ray/MRI of right hand and x-ray of right foot and left tibia/fibia are cleared by physician; also suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days

Brandon Moreno: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days

Kai Kara-France: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days

Chase Hooper: No suspension

Daniel Teymur: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days

Matt Brown: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days due to cut on left eyebrow

Ben Saunders: Suspended 60 days with no contact for 45 days

Omari Akhmedov: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days

Ian Henisch: Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days
