Medical Suspensions for UFC 239: Jones vs. Santos

The event took place on Saturday, July 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the official list of the medical suspensions to FightBook MMA.

In the main event, Jon Jones took on Thiago Santos for the light heavyweight title. Jones must have left foot x-rayed and if positive he must have an Orthopedic Dr clear him or no contest until 01/03/20 with a minimum suspension and no contest until 08/21/19 and no contact until 08/06/19.
Santos must have his left hand x-rayed and a left knee MRI. If positive he must have an Orthopedic Dr clear him or no contest until 01/03/20 with a minimum suspension and no contest until 08/06/19 and no contact until 07/28/19.

In the co-main event, the women’s bantamweight title was on the line as current champ Amanda Nunes went against Holly Holm. Nunes came out with no issues but her opponent, Holm, will be suspended until 09/05/19 and no contact until 08/21/19.

Jones must have left foot x-rayed, if positive must have Orthopedic Dr clearance or no contest until 01/03/20; minimum suspension no contest until 08/21/19; no contact until 08/06/19
Santos must have left hand x-rayed & left knee MRI, if positive must have Orthopedic Dr clearance or no contest until 01/03/20; minimum suspension no contest until 08/06/19; no contact until 07/28/19

AMANDA LOURENCO NUNES vs. HOLLY RENE HOLM KIRKPATRICK:
Suspend Holm until 09/05/19, No contact until 08/21/19

JORGE MASVIDAL vs. BENJAMIN MICHAEL ASKREN:
