Wexford-born bantamweight, Brian Moore is set for another appearance under the Bellator banner on their upcoming September 23. card in the capital – drawing submission expert, promotional newcomer, Arivaldo Lima da Silva at The 3Arena event.

Moore, who featured on home soil back in February at Bellator 275, suffered his second consecutive loss in the form of a unanimous decision defeat against surging division contender, Jornel Lugo in a high-profile bantamweight showing.

For da Silva, the Brazilian boasts a 19-10(1) and is currently riding a five fight winning run, most recently stopping Wagner Lima with a unanimous decision victory in his native Brazil in July of last year. Irish reporter, Peter Carroll was first to report Moore’s return against da Silva.

“According to sources, Wexford’s Brian Moore (14-9-0) will face off against Arivaldo Lima da Silva (19-10-0, 1 NC) at Bellator Dublin on September 23rd.,” Carroll tweeted. This card is getting very tasty.”

Featuring three times under the Scott Coker-led banner last year alone, Moore began the annum with a unanimous decision victory over Jordan Winski in a one-sided affair at Bellator 263.

Returning at Bellator 269 in Moscow, Moore faced hometown standout, Nikita Mikhailov, suffering a unanimous decision defeat despite a late rallying effort and slew of offensive grappling setups.

A Bellator feature since December 2016, Moore has managed to land five victories during his stint with the organization, defeating Michal Horejsi, Giorgio Belsanti, Son Le Binh, Simone D’Anna, and the aforenoted, Winski. The adept finisher has landed six career submission wins to go with four further knockout stoppage successes.

Facing a significant submission threat in September, Moore draws da Silva – who himself has locked up an impressive 11 separate submission wins during his professional career – largely spent on the Brazilian regional circuit.

In standout victories for da Silva, he has bested the likes of Ranieri Zenidim, Carlos Diogo, Michel Lima, Diego Davella, and Diego Santos.

Bellator Dublin takes place on September 23. from The 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland – with a headlining bout for the showcase yet to be official confirmed by the organization.

High-profile matchups including, Yoel Romero vs. Melvin Manhoef, Benson Henderson vs. Peter Queally, and James Gallagher vs. Brett Johns are set to feature at the capital event, however.
